great tradition!!!!
the wacko's are quickly destroying college ball with the left-wing BS! no doubt it will be a cold day in h*ll when someone in college sports finally stands up to the wacko's & tell them to take a hike!!! BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.
HOuston Nutt at Arkansas was making the hogs who didnt work hard in preseason wear a pink jersey. The feminst Nazis raised a PC stink and he stopped it. It is ridiculous what the left and PC is doing to our society. and even more, sad.

good point ark -
what's even worse is that people like nutt give in to such a min-ute minority ![]() wimps! BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

I am going to give Nutt a 50% pass on this one. The reason he was presented with for not using the pink jerseys was due to the use of pink ribbons and pink promotion in the ongoing awareness in the battle against breast cancer. Now I feel like pink was a color before breast cancer, and pink was representative of "girly" things prior to becoming the trademark for breast cancer, but when he was approached and told that he was detracting from the breast cancer awareness, he was in a no win situation. Had he fought it he would have looked like such a bad guy it would have shortened the time before he is run out of town. Was it wrong to present Nutt with the breast cancer vs. sissy comparison, sure, but when it was done, I do not think he had much of a choice than to give in. One of the local reporters said had he used yellow, the banana folks would have come after him. Had they gone to a bowl last year none of this would have been an issue.
There should be more concerning things in the world than arguing against this change.
The pink offends people and nobody other than the visiting team will notice if it gets removed. So why not remove it? Seems like a silly thing to argue about. Or do we have to be sensitive so the traditionalists don't get their feelings hurt? ![]()
And don't be so quick to use your catch words like "feminist Nazi" and the like. It suits them just like "right-wing fascist" suits you. Funny how the words nazi and fascist seem to describe two completely different types of people yet mean the same thing.
We're not in the dark ages anymore, we don't have to act like cave men.
Another thing that is interesting about the article is that the law prof's concerns didn't gain any weight or momentum until she started getting death threats over it. Makes you wonder if those opposing her had just been a little more rational in approaching and dealing with her concerns it wouldn't have been such a big deal and Iowa could have kept the pink. (and if you used yellow it would have offended the support the troops people, not the banana people)
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
