She's a 5'6" point guard, can distribute the ball well and score off the dribble. Changed schools after the coach left her old school, this is her first season at Horn. She visited with us during the weekend of the TCU football game, and committed right after her visit. The news was a little slow getting out. One of the recruiting services has her ranked 20th in Texas.

This is the 3rd commitment for the ladies team, and they are pretty much done now. They had one more recruit in this past weekend, and she is supposed to make a decision this week. Its down to us or Indiana. If this girl doesnt committ, they wont use the scholarship this year. The other top targets are mostly committed elsewhere. They'll save the scholarship for next year, when they only have one senior.

Texas-based rercuiting services list her in their top 20 and she's listed as a top prospect nationally too. She's a good signing for the Mustangs and word is they received a fourth commitment yesterday. I believe that completes their class of 2006 and it's a pretty talented group too. Congrats!

If they got the commitment they were waiting for, then the class is complete for this year. Its a good group, a point guard, a wing who can play 2 or 3, and 2 inside players. And, they were at the top of Rhonda's list, they had 4 players in for visits, and all 4 committed.

Alice Severin is the 4th player I was referring to in my previous post. There was a short blurb about her in the DMN today. She's a 6'2" post player, and was a teammate of Katie Cobbs on Team Texas 88 when they won the BCI national championship, and was a BCI All-American.
