-Bencing Chase. Because 'benching' doesn't mean "no longer playing", it means starting another guy in front of Chase. Devin Lowery was a stud in HS, and he was a stud WR in the Spring 2004 game - a real winner. I have no idea what happened to him last year that he fell out of favor with the coaches. Perhaps he was overwhelmed after sitting out of football for a year after HS.

-Starting Tony Eckert: He never really got a chance after his horrible start against Baylor (and I wouldn't have put him back in, cold, the way Bennett did in the 4th, either). Perhaps he was tight, I dunno. I was impressed with Romo's improved throwing this year vs. last year, but the WRs aren't catching (aTm game).

I just hope whichever QB is in the game gets a chance to settle in and get his feet wet. Pulling a QB after a series or two is what ran McCown out of town. If he throws a bad pick or something, sure - pull him. Just let the guy settle in to see if he's "on" or "off."

McCown might have left because he had a big "hit me" sign on him because teams flooded through our offensive line. I saw him in the NC State game at Raleigh and he was sacked like 8 times, hurried all day and threw 4 picks before he was lifted.

I have no problem with it either. I am sure PB was pissed last week when both QBs took fourth down sacks. Should never happen, no matter how bad the o-line is. At least throw the ball up for grabs. He wants someone in there who is going to make quicker decisions in the passing game and be a downfield threat to open up the run. SO you put in Eckert and speed (Lowery) and it SHOULD open some more things up.

One thing to look for, though - if Exkert is given the start for being aggressive, and the o-line breaks down again, look for picks...
