Line is still at -33 TAMU, but the odds for betting on A&M is at -115 vs. 105, which means that Vegas doesn't want to increase the line to -34 for fear of the public continuing to bet on A&M. Their hope is that the lessened payout will steer people away from taking A&M.

Jones bolted the scene of the crime after his Mustangs began the year with lopsided losses to Baylor and North Texas. Enter the Aggies, who continue to scale the rankings after routing each of their first three opponents by at least 24 points. This is their final non-conference tune-up before a string of four straight crucial games with SEC West foes.
Why Texas A&M Might Win: The Mustangs are in disarray, from the coaching change to the season-ending injury of starting QB Neal Burcham. SMU did nothing right in the first two games, which does not bode for hosting a top 10 team. It’ll be business as usual for QB Kenny Hill and his plethora of weapons, who’ll be facing a porous SMU pass defense breaking in three new starters.
Why SMU Might Win: It’ll be all about intangibles for the Mustangs this Saturday, because they don’t match up well with the Aggies. SMU must rally around a new leader, in the locker room and in the huddle, while taking advantage of a visitor that could be looking right past this week’s game. Mason has simplified the offense for redshirt freshman QB Kolney Cassel, whose quick release earned him a scholarship from Jones.
Who To Watch Out For: Cassel’s head will be spinning on Saturday, and if it’s not turning in the right direction he’s liable to get decked by DE Myles Garrett, an emerging force off the edge. The true freshman isn’t even starting, yet he’s already notched 5.5 sacks over the first three games of his career.
What’s Going To Happen: The only thing that can keep Texas A&M from administering an epic whooping on its former Southwest Conference rival is a lack of focus and motivation. Either way, this one will be over before halftime. Hill and the offense will continue piling up gaudy numbers, while the defense harasses a young quarterback into costly mistakes.

We're still not optimistic about the development of the Aggies' defense, but an SMU team that can't score will make a lot of units look pretty stout. Even apart from the drama surrounding June Jones' resignation, the Mustangs are still a young team that hasn't yet learned how to prepare, let alone compete with more talented teams. The offense is especially green, and it's hard to keep pace with an attack like Texas A&M's when every first down is such a challenging adventure. The Aggies didn't play that well in last week's 38-10 win over Rice and will be looking for crisper execution.
