i know. my point is people constantly complain that we have this historic, iconic uniform that is nationally one of the best, and that it's so historic. the white/blue/white from the pony express days, was just one of MANY different unis we've had. and honestly, even though i'll probably get torn apart by rabid ponyfans for saying it, all the Pony Express does for people outside of SMU is conjure up thoughts of cheating & pay for play.
i posted it in the chrome helmet post too, but i'd hope they go tan w/ the chromes against the frogs.

It's amazing that so many are still complaining. The fact that we HAVE more than two jersey's, more than two pants and also alternate helmets - is a miracle!
Relax - they are saving the blues for the new helmets.

We will look good and 100 times better than last year. So my complaint is more of annoyance. They built up blue all off season that is what they should have hit the field with. But as I said - they will still look sharp especially with the new grey pants.

Yeah - more annoyance than anger this time. We will look good, but it's a shame we won't see the blue with the white helmets for some time.
Did anyone really build up the blue other than we posters? I know they said we would have blue jerseys available but I think we all took it from there.

All of the photos have shown the players in blue (the ticket books, posters, etc.)

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
