I was a big fan of Gilbert's last year, but watching the team this year, I think I severely underated how good he really was. The fact he was able to make the end product look so much better with not much better talent is shocking.

Gilberts ability to tuck and run and avoid the 3 and out was key.

GG was big time as I watched him beat my Longview Lobos in the 08 4A state championship game.

Eventually wanted to play for JJ, and that great victory over Fresno ST. in Hawaii :!:

Don't think some GG's will want to come play for now bottom feeder SMU.
