Chill, he and others will most likely be coaching elsewhere next year. And if one wants him gone now, who will you bring in? Does anyone really think a new hot coach can come in in the middle of the season and change offenses, defenses and other aspects of a team?

Mason is the best we got now. And he is working hard cause he is basically auditioning for a HC job somewhere.

If one wants to see what happens to a program when a coach is changed during odd times of the year, check out Arkansas.

Petrino gets fired in late spring. Arkansas, as wonderful a job as that is, couldn't get a big time HC in a short period of time. And Arkansas was wise enough to take the coaching hit and buy the time needed to make probably the best hire of the last 10 years. They didn't rush the process and the accepted the fact that the previous coordinator would be the interim HC.

Smith sucked as did the Beloved Razorbacks but now they are enjoying the ROI for doing it right, not fast.

You have no idea what you are talking about and didn't sit through the years post DP.

Yes you've proven yourself to be a very reliable analyst of this team.

Something on which Ponyte and I agree. You do it right, as opposed to fast.

Or the Notre Dame game when every time their 4th stringers blew up our defense, their running backs had the grace to walk out of bounds rather than scoring on us again and again and again....

They would have hung 200 on us if they were coached by somebody like Leach.

This team also has more than 45 scholarship players and aren't all 18-19 years old. They certainly aren't performing as well as that same leftover personnel did when they were Seniors in 1992

If A and M left the starters in like Jenkins did, the aggies could have gotten to 95. No offense to the current players.

Let Morrison go stand over in the corner with Suan. Mason needs to put his stamp on this offense yesterday. Painful to watch this R&S crap. To those who say it's too late to scrap the entire offense, fine, scrap 70-80% of it. Try SOMETHING different, it literally can't get any worse.

Well, actually against TCU's D this week it probably will get worse if we march Cassel or Krstich out there and change nothing.

I agree with that, it really cant get any worst, i mean might as well come up crazy short pass and run playbook cause we dont have the ability to go long with the ball since we suck at both positions WR/QB.

Scrap the whole offense. Who cares. Not going to put up less than 0 touchdowns.

Also I don't think it really matters bc the offensive personnel are incapable.

Actually sat through virtually every game post death penalty. So, you don't have any idea what you are talking about. Those teams were somewhat competitive. They could move the ball. This team is a total disaster.

Right there with you! Was in school the two years without football and the first two years back. Those early post DP teams looked much better than this team has in it's first 3 games.

Remember SMU was recruiting to the SWC still a major conference and there was less competition from NTSU(Division 1-AA), SWTSU now Texas St., UTSA etc

Mason has mentioned in a few interviews about "getting the ball in the hands of playmakers". Cue the jokes about playmakers, blah blah. But I think that is his message to Morrison and Phillips. If they can't figure out a way to get Pope, Gresham, Gaines, Lancaster, Walker, Malone, Davis, Durall the ball I don't think Mason is just going to stand by watch it. He doesn't come across as that type.
