What are they going to do with the old Medical building?

When I was on campus on Saturday I noticed them tearing down the old Medical services building. Are they simply going to replace it or are they doing something else with it?

Campus looked great! Tennis facility is going to be nice, and the school continues to become even more scenic.

They are building a new one. I was under the impression that it was a remodel, but if they are tearing it down..

I saw that too. Man, you blink and they pull a building down over there. Somebody better watch Dallas Hall closely.

I'm sure you're joking, but Dallas Hall is on the list of Historical buildings.

In any case, that building was outdated and kinda ugly. They can build a better one that's far better looking. I was hoping a little bit that they would leave it open as an open space - I think it would look better - but I know they are hurting for space already.

Can anyone tell me what the deal with the East campus is? Are they going to start building over there as well?

The one in the north quad that sits in the middle of Virgia-Snyder and Shuttles, I think. You drive around it when you drive into that quad.

Was more expensive to retrofit than to tear down and build a new one. So they're... Tearing down and building a new one.
