Can a Cowboys fan explain...
Can someone with a background in Football scouting explain why Sterling Moore never gets any respect?
The dude was a legit shutdown corner at SMU.
He made big plays in New England AS A ROOKIE.
From what I've heard he's been impressive with the Cowboys.
Yes he's had some nagging injuries, but the dude performs when the lights go on.
Seems like just now he is getting NICKEL consideration! http://espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/story/_/i ... ans-saints
Why isn't he given a fair shot?
Even if his measurables aren't great, he has great technique. Does he get beat deep?
What's the deal?

He has problems with consistency. He will make a great play, then get burned on the next one.
Re: Can a Cowboys fan explain...
He is getting a shot. He's getting good PT. He's behind one of the highest paid CBs in football (Carr), the best corner on the team (Scandrick) and a guy drafted 2nd overall who has been plagued by injuries and sucking since he was drafted. He hasn't outplayed Carr and Scandrick, and they are trying to give Claiborne every shot to snap out of his funk, although they just demoted him. Expect Sterling to be on the field a lot vs. New Orleans. He's doing a good job and IMO is pretty much locked in as at least the 4th CB at this point. If Claiborne continues to suck, he'll get even more time.

There is a little bit of difference in being a "legit shutdown corner"in C-USA and being a good cornerback in the NFL.

He is getting a shot. Many in the media want him at the nickel over Claiborne. Claiborne walked out of practice yesterday and many think it was because the coaches told him he's behind Moore. Claiborne was the 6th pick in the 2012 draft.

Jerrah is very slow to admit that his draft pick of Mo Claiborne was a bad one and that an UFA is a better option. No one can argue the talent is there in SM.

Who was drafted 2nd overall? Mo Claiborne was drafted 6th and has had plenty of chances to prove his worth, and has failed.
BTW, Claiborne has 1 less career INT than score he made on the Wonderlic, 3 vs 4. Ponder that for a minute.

I definitely think he has the talent to play in the league, but apparently you do not agree based on the post I was responding to where you said no one can argue the talent is there in SM.
