Thank you. Isn't the thread title very misleading? I thought he was asking IF it was a bad place to coach not stating that it in fact was.

Nothing earth shattering was said
Was really just responding to Harts stance that we are better than some P5 jobs.
Said of course our phone is ringing off the hook, we are the only opening right now.
Top candidates should hold off for p5 shot. Meh.

Unfortunately, I think the Top Candidates will too.

Name what bottom tier P5 programs are better than SMU? None come to mind. I don't think Syracuse, Wake, Oregon State or Boston College are better than SMU...we are in SEC country an smack dab in the middle of Big 12. How much better can it get?

Better is highly dependent upon how much money someone is paying you. We've got some money.

Norm should stick to horse racing, being old and being irrelevant.

There's no one more knowledgeable about local sports. Too bad he actually spends his airtime talking about them rather than the moronic commentary of his coworkers.

Unfortunately, probably correct. But I am optimistic (which is rare with me and pony football) that we will make the right hire. May not be a sexy name, but I think things are in place to succeed at our current level. Just a shame it is a total rebuild again, but at least it has been proven that you can 1) win here 2) academic restrictions have been lifted 3) boosters have basketball model to follow with assistants and recruiting.

It's a witch hunt against me. My optimism for the program as well as saying Chad Morris was a serious candidate got me hate from the gang of 30. I guess Hart is FTHP and so is turner and everyone that thinks SMU can be great again.

Doesn't it get tiresome logging in and out of all those accounts? Maybe I'm just too lazy to understand.
