If Davis can play this might get interestingNot sure of his status but he could pose some problems for the Frogs if he plays.
Re: If Davis can play this might get interestingAt this point why the hell not.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: If Davis can play this might get interestingNot sure if you guys watched him when he's been in, but he's looked pretty terrible and clueless out there.
But at this point, who the hell cares, let him try. Hell, let's let Jackson Koonce play safety while were at it. BOP - Providing insensitivity training for a politically correct world since 1989.
Re: If Davis can play this might get interesting
He's too one-dimensional to pose any problems for a defense with the talent and coaching of TCU. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: If Davis can play this might get interestingWhat is the basis for thinking he can do anything?
Derail the Frogs!
Re: If Davis can play this might get interesting
That Johnny Footballesque play where he ran around for 10 seconds against Baylor and heaved up that hail mary (only to get the ball back to the line of scrimmage) and then picked off.
Re: If Davis can play this might get interestingNo idea about the status of Matt Davis, but the game notes Ishow him as third team although that might be camouflage.
Maybe TCU has spent time prepping for Davis although I think the mismatch again too great for one player to be a game changer.
Re: If Davis can play this might get interestingWe do not currently have a QB on campus who could make the TCU game interesting. It will be a drubbing.
BUT. . .that being said, my son and I will be there!
Re: If Davis can play this might get interestingDavis can do something none of the other QBs can and that is run and that may be paramount in this game. He has never had any time to do anything in the pocket. He made one bad decision in the Baylor game-big deal-he was running for his life and he tried to throw the ball out of bounds but didn't. The guy has talent and I would like to see what he can do if he has time. Of course he has to know this looney offense we run too. Hopefully he has a grasp of it now.
Re: If Davis can play this might get interestingI think the guy can do a hell of a lot, frankly. But he's got to get a block or two

Re: If Davis can play this might get interesting
Patterson said they spent their time prepping for OU. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: If Davis can play this might get interesting
I thought he said the advantage of the early kickoff is he can start preparing for OU earlier, meaning after the game. Did he really say publicly they were preparing for OU already? Big departure from coachspeak if so.
Re: If Davis can play this might get interestinghe has ZERO o-line, thus eliminating any of his playmaking abilities
Re: If Davis can play this might get interestingHyperbole on my part. Actually it was Sumlin who indicated he was preparing for SMU to possibly install a ground game offense so he needed to spend time working on defending one. Coincidentally he is playing Arkansas with a potent ground attack this week.
Patterson said what you stated but I can assure you they have spent some time this week on OU. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: If Davis can play this might get interesting
I am sure they have. I would have just been surprised to hear he actually admitted it publicly.
