The Pony chrome look is not horrible. I still can't get over the arena league look Tech threw down last night. Maybe one of the worst unis/helmets ever.

they've been universally laughed at across the state. SMU86 is the only poster on about 5 boards that liked them.

When I said that I believe I said that I liked the white. But the was before I really could really make out that weird design on their helmets. Our helmets are clean.

Both unis in the Tech/OSU game were terrible. It was one of those games where I could not have told you who was playing without the score graphics.

Nothing is college football even compares to our white helmets. Best in College Football.

Nike is doing the oversized decal look. See Tampa Bay Buccaneer's new helmets.

the 5 inch Masked Rider on the front of the thigh was the worst part of it.

At least we are doing it correctly this year.

I will withhold final judgement until I see them in action tomorrow, but as far as silly alternate helmets go I agree with the original poster that they don't seem that bad.

Another thought, wasn't crazy about the gray pants (looked too much like ole miss). Prefer white pants with the stripes.

I really didn't like the gray paints you threw out...looked high school to me. I think the Pony chrome helmet looks pretty sharp as far as chrome helmets go - not saying much.

I kind of hate anything TCU throws out there. Everyone wears black now. And I really dislike purple, even without TCU references
