Exactly what I was thinking.

So a guy that plays for the visible franchise in American professional sports goes to social media where his legion of followers are reading how he owes SMU nothing and we are a "trash football school" is the same as venting on ponyfans in front of the same 100 people who regularly post here?

Not sure I see the connection there.

Why lower ourselves to the level of his comments, whether it is in front of one person or a thousand.

Look, he knows that he owes JJ everything. I'm disappointed, but I'm giving him some latitude on this one. He's a young guy, and he was a great Mustang. I'm not willing to see eff him quite as easily as some of you are.

Tank and Crawford just want to see us win as well. No reason to be upset with either of them.

I hope Bease has a great game tonight.

Coaches come and go. That's college football. Once you've put on the jersey your always a Mustang. After this I don't know. It's a shame that he feels the need to do this. This is an attack on all Alums that are proud of our team and school. It's always nice feeling at home somewhere. After coming to SMU in 2000 I've made this place my home and now bring my children to the games.

Hopefully Cole will see his mistake and apologize.

And hopefully Morestead will put him in the cheap seats somehow.

Go Saints!

Agreed. I think Cole is just as frustrated as the rest of us - he just happened to post his thoughts on social media for all to see. I hope he has a good game tonight and that he comes back to campus and supports this team.

Tank and Crawford aren't trashing the university the way Cole is so I have no problem with what they're saying...and I still don't recall anyone on here ever bashing Cole until today.

Let's be honest though... what college football team doesnt have players that are criticized on fan forums? He'd hate to read what some of the fans at bigger programs would have to say had he played for one, we're pretty damn mild in terms of criticism.

Its really damning though to support an athlete for four years as a fan that chose us over air force and a few FCS schools, wish nothing but the best for him in the NFL, only for him to basically go tell us to go F ourselves.

Richard Crawford needs to have his agent calling the Cowboys right now. He could be in the field for the 2nd half.

mtydel once led a similar revolt of former players by Morse Code when Hayden Fry was fired-tore the fan base in two but we forgive and forget
