Hmmmmmm. Are you sure of that? Even when he lived in Michigan and Colorado he found ways of seeing the Ponies play. He went to the 1969 Michigan State game in East Lansing and I know he attended at least a couple of games in the 1990s when Dr. Pepper sponsored the Doak Walker Award.

Let's just say Stallion if materially correct, can someone explain?

Are you people seriously arguing about how many game a man attended decades ago?

This article from D magazine from 1977 touches on Doaks move to Colorado. Kind of long but a great read. There is a Dmag article for 86 wthat if I remember correctly indicated that he got down to Dalllas more often.

Contrast this to some of the things being tweeted out by our former June Jones guys.
Perhaps the most sensitive point in the conversation arises when Walker again fields questions about why he left Dallas and has no intention of returning. When asked if there were any disappointments which caused him to consider leaving, Walker firmly replies "I just don’t want to comment on that. It’s none of anybody’s business." Several more efforts to get Walker to comment on the subject are futile. He simply smiles and says "Nice try. but I’m not going to talk about it."

Dickerson is sad that he's now catching grief from his friends. He knows deep down that JJ pretty much quit to check cashing mode after the ASU debacle, that's why he brought in an assistant head coach last year to revamp his offense. We now have a team that plays like the teams right after the DP. We have a few studs, and our O-line is young and there may be some guys who do well toward the end of the year. You can fire 85 players and call off the season. You play it out.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

At best, JJ quit. At worst, he intentionally sabotaged the program. some of the offers after the ASU debacle were shocking

It is clear ED wants SMU to be a winner. I don't disagree with his concerns, but with his methods of voicing his concerns.
