Look at some of the comments at the bottom of this article.
There are still June believers.

#1. "You are out of your depth dumbo. June Jones was great. It's harder winning at SMU than Kansas; er, maybe not. (speaking of which, Kansas should jump all over June Jones) June is creative, outstanding football mind, and a very good coach. It didn't work as well as SMU or June wanted but they had success. I think it was time for June to move on and so did he. June is a class act, a great coach, and should have plenty of interest from decent schools. You are an idiot, sir"

#2. "You people are insane. June was a good coach and probably the best we could get at the time of his hiring by a long shot. I would agree he wasn't a great or passionate recruiter for us. He did lose some of his steam but June is a quality football person. SMU football is a joke. June got us some traction for a while. I wish he would been a better cheerleader for the program. Everybody knows June was not going to stick around forever. Had he worked harder at generating excitement I think things could have been a bit better. But it is crazy to think June did nothing for the program. His efforts have been good and he is a very good coach"

Our strength has been really disappointing. Coming out of last season, I thought the d-line played pretty decent the second half of the year. So, when I saw them go against the oline at practice and not dominate, I made the assumption that the oline would be okay.

Unfortunately, I think all of our players lost weight in the offseason and came back to school less strong than last year. The quote in training camp from Lasecki that Brown was the "4th strongest on the team" really should have been a warning sign and I certainly ignored it. We are getting blown off the ball on both sides of the line and it absolutely kills our chance for success.

Good second level small town East Texas humor. I hear ya bruh.

I think of Caddo Mills Foxes too. CM isn't really East Texas though. It's still in the DFW stats.

Sometimes when I see CoC I think it means crazy old coots.
It just doesn't seem like it really stands for the circle of champions.
