Ha. 65 made a Manifesto in the response section that he is DONE with SMU football if SMU hires Brown

The great Lebowski replied "there goes half the fan base." Kinda funny.

All of this cussing, discussing and conjecture about future coaches is fun but in reality 'we' aren't the ones who will be making this decision. The CofC, RGT and casper will be the ones deciding our fball fate and future. Let's all hope they do their due diligence and select a coach that can turn this program around quickly and move us forward long term.

There is nothing in that statement that says he isn't willing to listen to SMU. The man clearly wants to get back into coaching. If you truly have no interest you say "I'm flattered by the interest from SMU but I am not interested in a return to coaching." There is nothing like that in there. He wants back in the game.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Why do you keep referring to Hart as casper?

The ASU powers that be picked June Jones to be their head coach once upon a time.

That's his bit. Never quite understood it. Don't find it particularly amusing. Inside jokes between 1person rarely are.

I can see early on in Hart's tenure where there could be some skepticism about his power. That he was just a puppet for Turner, but I believe he's made all the right moves and has said all the right things during this mess. There's no doubt he was the driving force in convincing the CofC to force JJ out.

Where is the Purple Hippo these days? He's about due for an appearance. It was fun tracking flights the last time we had a coaching search.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Back to Mack Brown: Those that worry RGT is playing lip service to athletics should be praying for Brown. Between the two Browns, they would wield more power than RGT. The Browns would lining up $ that RGT would not be able to ignore.

IIRC it was a couple of their 'big money' boosters that threatened to quit supporting the program/school if tiki was hired. I would actually consider them similar to our CofC.

Scuttlebutt says that RGT is gone at the end of the year anyways.
