They are and I hope they do. An atheist is a guy who watches a Notre Dame-SMU football game and
doesn't care who wins. -- Dwight D. Eisenhower
Re: Natatorium almost downI sure hope so. They looked pretty beat up to me, but can't imagine why else they would have taken them down last.
Re: Natatorium almost downAnd what, reuse them for the new natatorium that may be built or for another project?
Re: Natatorium almost downNew natatorium. Kind of like what they did with Ownby and Ford.
Re: Natatorium almost down
The new nat is going to be on the east side of 75 correct? Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Natatorium almost downThat's the last I heard. I do know a joint arrangement with UP to build one on the campus side of 75 has been at least suggested. Not sure if it has any legs.
Re: Natatorium almost downIt is going where throwing fields are.

Re: Natatorium almost downJust drove by.
The arches are down. The entire building has been razed. Pony 81
Re: Natatorium almost downDown, down? Or maybe taken out and saved?
Re: Natatorium almost down
Probably not saved - didn't look like they were trying to preserve the arches this past Saturday - although there were several of the large bulbous finials that appears to have set aside as if they were being saved/recovered for other future purposes - guessing the demolition company will try to sell what they recovered as part of their contract. They did the same to a bunch of the stonework and bricks on the Health Center, too, which is now mostly gone as well. Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.
Re: Natatorium almost downNo announcements on a new natatorium. The working assumption has been just east of N. Central on SMU Blvd; however, they are keeping it close to the chest. I expect an announcement in November.
