Are you really trying to hype that coward Dennis Franchione that, once he figured out he couldn't cut it at the easiest job in the SEC, ran to the weaker Big XII and got fired a couple years later?[/quote]
Are you really that stupid to make that comment? Couldn't cut it? He went 7-5 and won a bowl game the year after the previous coach went 3-8, and then went 10-3 with losses to the #2 OU team that won the rose bowl and #7 Georgia team that beat florida state in the sugar bowl. won the SEC West and was ineligible because of the previous coach sanctions.
Was also given a contract extension at the end of that 10-3 season and didn't sign it because of unrealistic restrictions if he would choose to go elsewhere.
Look at the schedule and tell me he couldn't cut it. You are an idiot. Also Weaker big twelve ? A Big XII school played in the national championship game 3 of the 5 years he was there, both teams being in A&M's division, and one of them winning it
Oklahoma went 12-2 losing the NC, Kstate went 11-4, Texas went 10-3, Nebraska was 10-3 and OSU was 9-4 in the first year at A&M, and the trend continued for the next 3 years as well.
