I wasn't criticizing SMU's football team. I was criticizing the school's population who would rather party on a street outside the stadium.

It's not that appealing for athletes to come play for a d1 college who has 4A high school crowds.

To measly beasly: When I first noticed you during the last spring practice sometime around 09 or maybe 10, you looked like you had BRICKS for hands. Somebody on JJ's staff obviously taught you how to catch a FOOTBALL

Have to agree with that. The game could be cancelled and half the people on the BLVD wouldn't even know or even care.

I'm sorry but you can't argue with what he's saying. So many people would rather get drunk on the Boulevard than go in to Ford and support the team. Kinda sad

Don't use the population as an excuse. You cannot deny the fact that many people tailgate all day instead of going to the game. It's the sad truth

When you suck and play teams that suck, the will cause most people not to care. The average fan gives zero deleteds about watching SMU play Tulane. And yes I will use population as an excuse. There are 40,000 living alumni in dallas and 8,000 undergrads. So to fil Ford, you need to get 75% of people that are Mustangs to come. That's so unrealistic.

This. I'd tweet something about it not being SMU that didn't care, but rather Dallas that didn't care...but I told him he went from hero to zero, so...

I believe that LB has proven that if you present a competitive team and play schools that have significance you will draw the fans. teams with no presence and who don't bring fans to the stadium will not have much impact on attendance.

I'm just saying, Cole is not the only current/former player to have issues with fan support. Just scan the retweets and favorites on those two tweets if you don't believe me
