not sure if this article was meant to show how he turned tail and ran to protect his record or if it is just another chickensh@t article about how bad we have become since he left.

lwjr...I guess it could be semantics....
and it's hard to know author intent
but I suppose if John Doe sees a trainwreck coming
and John Doe is at least partly to blame for the coming trainwreck
and John Doe jumps off the train and avoids the trainwreck
it could be seen by some as John Doe being "lucky"

But if 'john doe' was creating the train wreck then he should have had the cajones to try and correct it or live with the results.

I wish they give us the same or more press when we start winning.

of course....but June & Leigh Steinberg don't give a sheet about SMU
and were only thinking of June not having a 2014....0-12 record on his
resume or legacy.

And IMO the school should continually emphasize that this season and its' gross failure was totally the responsibility of tiki.

agreed redpony
i wonder if we'll see June take another job?
i could possibly see him back in Hawaii or somewhere on the West Coast
It is uncanny how June mostly escapes blame and seems to retain respect
his job prospects are much better not having an 0-12 record in 2014 on his resume
but my gut tells me he does not enjoy the game anymore....he seems burned out.

Perhaps the author does not understand what luck is.

You make your own luck right. JJ made his own luck by quitting.
