I walked away for a while but came back the day June was fired, to vent, because I am both disgusted and ecstatic at the same time. I hear some of the crap these kids have to deal with on a daily basis from these amateurs and I am thankful it is almost over for each and every player, as well as the SMU football program, and school.

Seems obvious most here could do without the generic 'we suck' stuff.

December and a new coach and staff are very near. Lots of positive things to look forward to.

By amateurs are you talking about the coaching staff? Just wondering, but I assume you have a son on the team? From what he tells you, you believe the staff to be amateurs? Very telling if I read into that right.

Suan was immediately replaced. Mel's incompetence is legendary and covered in another post today. Phillips poor attitude and favoritism is well documented. Broussard (Phillips jr.) appears out of nowhere to make things worse. Etc Etc Etc

I think Mason actually cares as well as a few on the defensive staff, but June and these offensive guys are toxic. Half the team didn't even know Morrison was a coach until the day they saw him up on the podium with all the other coaches as Hart told them about June's dismissal.

It is so pathetic you either have to laugh or cry. Hart & Turner really do need to get some advice from Larry Brown about how to do things the right way.

This level of ridiculousness makes it all the more difficult to listen to guys like Dickerson, Beasley etc praise June. Trust me, getting rid of these guys will do wonders for the program.

You are what you are. Now do you sit on the curb and whine about it or do you do something about it. TCU did something about it and made the best of a negative situation when the SWC broke up and look at them now. SMU stayed on the curb whining and look at them now.
