How much player turnover for 2015?

IIRC schollies are on a year-to-year basis. The school has the option of not renewing a scholly and the student-athlete has the option of going to another university. I believe that Saban is pretty effective at getting players that are recruited over to leave without much fanfare. I would imagine a top level coach here could do the same.

Looks like Jones has put your new coach in a situation like he left Coach McMackin when he left Hawai. Mac had to go the JC route real heavy for his first couple years at Hawaii just to fill holes that Jones left him because of his previous poor recruiting. It's a tuff hill to high. What should be quality players entering their Jr and Sr seasons turns out to be mid level JC guys filling in those gaps.

Doesn't McMackin deserve part of the blame for the empty cupboard?

Sure, you can be like Charlie Weis and kick 29 guys off the squad. But since SMU is limited to 25 new players in 2015 (plus any unused from 2014), you'll fill out next year's roster with walkons.

Sure, you can be like Charlie Weis and kick 29 guys off the squad. But since SMU is limited to 25 new players in 2015 (plus any unused from 2014), you'll fill out next year's roster with walkons.
