yeah, meaningful games, beat the Big Boys and then the fans will show up, blah, blah, blah
IMPOSSIBLE to reach those numbers at SMU with our fans
If someone would have told me my junior year (2011) that SMU basketball would sellout all season I would have laughed. With the right pieces we could sellout SMU football.

Agreed. Just make the team legit and the seats won't be enough...especially with the cowgirls all the way out in arlington-fort worth

Speak to SMU alumni that don't go to games, speak to DFW people that want college football nearby. Same answer=SMU gives me high caliber football and I am in. It's not about the teams we play, it's about us.
And this is a new era, the country demands college football. There is enough for everyone to pack their houses. People love the sport so much they are willing to dump tons of money to watch.
It would be interesting to know - but only to point up the problem - how many people with no particular school ties to Baylor and TCU and UNT or affiliation with Waco, Fort Worth, and Denton drive past SMU and beyond Dallas to see what they think will be a better football game.
