If they let us dink and dunk our way down the field then we'll put up some points though we're not likely to stop them.

Yes, but according to him everybody in the conference is about the same talent level now. You know, the June Jones mentality. Other team can at least compete against quality competition but we have to wait until conference starts.

maybe so, but he's right.

No he is not. We should have been able to have a better showing against those team. And we sure should have shown better against green guys. Hopefully we will have a coach that will have us prepared for the first game of the season and not the 5th game of the season. But Mason needs to go either way.

I agree Rebel, the only real difference is QB played better which led to some points. D still played terrible. Only difference is we scored

One of the most talented receivers in Sutton sits on the bench the entire game. Unreal.

I saw the exact same routes and throws as we've always seen. Also saw a lot less pressure from an AAC level DLine as well as less talented AAC level DB's

We ought to roll Cincinnati then. Right?

How did you extrapolate that nonsense? Against Cincy we'll at least have a fighting chance playing within our conference against similar competition and talent. What is so hard to understand about this guys?

Never said we'd win the AAC, or even that our talent is at the same level as the better teams in the conference. Are you disagreeing with me that the talent level between these AAC teams is no different than Baylor, A&M, or TCU?

Hilarious how you make up crap and try to change the subject. When did I ever say everybody in the conference is about the same talent level. My entire argument is comparing AAC talent level compared to BAylor, A&M, & TCU talent level. Stay on point and make an argument if you have one.

ECU is on a level field with the teams we have played. Very strong showing against USC, beat ranked Va Tech and blew out UNC. To say they are well below the talent level of the teams we have played would be ignorant

....and the only real reason the QB played better (running the same offense & making the same throws) was because he wasn't running for his life (weaker AAC D Line), and his receivers had small openings to dink & dunk (weaker AAC DB's).

Got it, pretty simple.

Sure you keep telling yourself that. Here is what I saw in ECU today. Defense not even in the same stratosphere as Baylor or TCU. Offense has some good skill players, magnified 2x their talent level because of Lincoln Riley's scheme.

Substitute Lincoln Riley as our OC, with our exact same kids, let him figure out his best QB, our offense would be night and day.

And Your whole argument is trumped bc of the weak Dline that UNT has and our QBs still played horribly. Face it, we scored some points Cuz Kyrstich made better decisions and got the ball out quicker. Not because we were facing an AAC team that was inferior talent wise

Stallion I agree. Garret locked in on the receiver and got ride of it, not a lot progression reads.

You seem to be an idiot. I'm just stating the truth.

So much butt hurt with you.....

UNT sucks and they killed us because we're terrible. Sorry you can't comprehend that or just don't want to. You just seem to try and make excuses for everything, unless it pertains to our fan base.

Curiously, what's your stance on participation trophies?

Trivia question on today's game (Baylor v. Texas): hoe many teams in Texas in Top Twenty defenses. Answer - 5. We played three of them. Baylor, TCU, North Texas plus Hoouston and Texas.

When your walkon 8th string qb finally gets a couple weeks worth of reps, it generally helps a little.
