Most encouraging 21 pt loss ever

Postby SmooBoy » Sat Oct 04, 2014 5:22 pm

Most probably banked on another 56-0 type trouncing, but the kids played with some heart and refused to give up on the season. Cincy game may have a few more attendees. We shall be there supporting the guys. The team has obvious flaws and problems, but a tiny glimmer of hope as well.

We should have about 8K butts in seats for the Cincy game, probably less if it's another 11am kick.

Great day for Texas private school football. Baylor beats Texas, TCU knocks off #4 OU, and we get beat less badly than expected by a directional carolina school. Let us all celebrate!

That loss felt like a win to me. We have offense and a QB now. Hopefully the bye week will get us ready for Cincy at home

Today was much better than expected. GK played a solid game and I expect he will get better.

I take it you're a fan of not keeping score and giving everyone a trophy then?

I don't get why everyone is so happy. Yeah, I was glad we did better, and there was some life for once this year (thank God), but I'm in no way happy about losing. I wasn't expecting to win, or even really compete, so there was definitely some good to take away from today, but happy about a loss? Talk about battered wife syndrome......

Surely you know by now that no one loves a moral victory more than Ponyfans.

The fact that we have not scored a legitimate touchdown in 4 games and all of sudden have glimmers of hope is cause for celebration. The first 4 games - extremely, hid your face, embarrassing. This one, not so much. The team competed with heart, made some stops on D and moved the ball on O. I was 'happy' to see progress in the face of a still disappointing loss.

It's better than what we have seen the first 4 games, BOP. I [deleted] hate losing too, but I am glad of the improvements I saw and the effort from the team. You always seem to find the negative on everything.
