Oh and somehow 4-1 Alabama, whose best win is a 10 point win over WVU, is ranked #7. I'd love to hear justification for that

Imagine what would be happening if we had been recruiting like mad men for the past 5 years and this season turned out to be our best WAC/CUSA/AAC team. 4 of our first 5 games were against #'s 5, 9, 14, and 19. Granted, if we had beat them, they wouldn't be ranked that high, but we would definitely be top 15. Not to mention we would be 3-0 against former SWC mates.

Paul Finebaum says shut up and stop slandering the SEC. It, and by extension, Alabama, is indeed the greatest thing to grace this Earth in at least the last two thousand years. How dare you question their ranking.

Yep, the schedule turned out perfect for SMU. Unfortunately our recruiting sucked leading up to this season.

If we would have recruited correctly, being 5-0 at this point would have us ranked pretty high. I say we would have been ranked 25 after beating UNT and after ECU most likely 11-12. If undefeated the most we would be ranked is #5.

This has turned into the most surreal conversation I have seen on this board in months.

And that's saying something. There has been lots of competition.
