They've only gotten "destroyed" one time in b12 play (23 points to Texas). They do a much better job of holding their own than we do against any team with a pulse
Huh? What does this have to do with SMU? No one is arguing with you that they are better than us.
TCU got a real nice emotional win at home versus OU this weekend and an inexplicable astronomical ranking. Other than that one game, they've done NOTHING since they joined the Big 12 to make one think they're more than average compared to the rest of their conference mates. Is that "cutting it" in the Big 12? Sure, I think so. They're cutting it. So you're right about that. Being middle of the pack is nothing to be upset about.
I predict that they'll split the remainder of their conference games this year and end the season 5-4 in Big 12 play. Beats last year's 2-7 record in conference.
I didn't think TCU had any chance at beating OU. I'm not sold on their QB, but OU has a roster full of future NFL players. They are a really talent team. As much as I hate to give TCU credit, you have to here.

agreed. OU was a great team, but hard to justify #9 when your next best win is minnesota. We'll see how they do against baylor and the rest of their schedule
Well, first of all I wouldn't have had TCU in the top 25 before OU. But I might have them crack the top 25 this week. Maybe somewhere in the 23-25 range. (And then fall right back out after getting spanked by Baylor on Saturday).
Another wierd thing is Arizona also made an inconceivable jump this week. They weren't even ranked and are now top 10? Ohhhkaaay
I think that after beating OU tcu definitely deserves to be in the top 25. Agree with PB and CMF here, there is absolutely no justification for having them in the top 10.
Now, if they beat Baylor at Baylor, then yes they should be, and that will be a different story. But, I don't think that will happen. Similar to the argument patterson always gives us that we think tcu is our superbowl, tcu thinks OU is their superbowl. For OU, it was a game that they took too lightly and paid the consequences for.
I think they will have baylor's full attention. The rankings now are about as as of proportion as I can remember them ever being. LSU, wisconsin and USC all out of the top 25, with Oregon and OSU out of the top 10, with ole miss, miss. state and tcu in the top 10.
