Pope to play linebacker

Postby PonyPride » Tue Oct 07, 2014 10:38 am

Interim head coach said Tuesday morning that senior Kevin Pope will return to the defense, saying Pope is too good to not be on the field.

It took me 1 game to figure that out

maybe Mason really was being held back from doing the things he wanted to do - recruit DFW, use social media, make smart personnel decisions.

good for him - at least he is making the moves we all wanted to see years ago. hey, maybe we will get a JUMBO package for goal line/short yardage situations! Imagine that!

Maybe we should all band together and offer up our services as coach(s), since clearly coach Mason is just reading Pony fans and implementing our ideas. Could have about 30 guys on the sidelines making suggestions - (no lei's allowed)

It is kind of clear that he is going with public sentiment. He trying to get the job or get another job. I would expect more of this as he tries to sway the public toward him.

Or it makes sense from a personnel perspective.

Also heard KC will get the majority of RB snaps. Getting play makers into the game!

It didn't take a rocket scientest to understand that some of JJ's decisions were idiotic.

Mason had made a comment, that last game he got too caught up in the HC role and neglected being the DC, guess he is working quickly to fix problems. How has the Rice grad-transfer fared on defense?
