My Thank You email to Coach Mason

Postby ponyte » Tue Oct 07, 2014 1:56 pm

Thank you so much for the fantastic opportunity you afford me today. God I haven’t felt that alive in some time.

I really appreciate the adversity that you have accepted and I am amazed at the quick turn around in this team’s demeanor. You should be proud of that accomplishment.

I am letting all I can know that they need to support this team and become engaged. And that you are very approachable and amenable to any help we fans can provide. With any luck, your phone will light up and email be full. Or I’m a crummy salesman, one or the other.

The players were involved, intense and business like today in practice. That speaks volumes to me. I am very enthused about the rest of the season.

I do believe this team is going to win. I see vast improvement over the last few weeks. And I believe that win starts against Cincy.

Thank you again and if I can be of further assistance, please let me know

Dude, this is pretty awesome. Hat is off to you, ponyte, for making the trip and doing this.

Wish Bease and ED would act as grateful to have been part of the SMU tradition as you do. Could go a long way towards getting the ship righted.

ponyte,

you are one of the few who can relate to the difficult years pre-pony express through the rise in 1980...and as such are in a great position to give the context many of these new players need to understand where they (and we) are yet again.

glad to hear you were so well received.

PonyTe, thanks again for the great support you gave to the team and the staff. After the ECU game I sent Coach Mason and the team an encouragement email, I think everyone that cares about this program should do this and then come out and support our 'Stangs at the 4 remaining home games.

I agree with you we still have 7 games to go and I believe we can win most of them and that starts with Cincy.

Great feedback bone, we do need to get that attitude going with the team, our existing fans as well. We need to gain that swagger that BU has and TCU had in the 2000s

So embarrassing for SMU. That is the last thing SMU needs is for an ex player or fan publicizing information like this. What an ego but then again this is SMU where egos aren't checked at the door.
