Some of us were SMU fans before "Jul 28, 2014".

Eric Dickerson is one of the Greatest Mustangs of all time. YOU are NOT. I'd leave it at that if I were you-go ahead and criticize him but don't act like you speak for "good" SMU fans

So the date one joins Ponyfans is their official date of fandom? OK, sure. Let's just say I've been around longer than that, and it's likely I"m much more familiar with the inner workings of the June regime than you or any other person who has been a fan of the program for 5,10,15, or 30 years. The past is really irrelevant to this programs future.

So let me clarify. My comment had nothing to do with Dickerson this time, everything to do with the "this team sucks, total embarrassment" nonsense.

Either support the team now that June is gone or don't. Be part of the solution instead of part of the problem. Seems to me the whining and b*tching of Dickerson and useless snide comments above, are part of the problem.

Pretty cool to see Lance Eric and Craig at the table sharing some memories and having some laughs.

I had forgotten Eric has the NFL single game playoff rushing record against our "beloved" Cowboys with 248 yards rushing-next best is 209. The guy has got to have more 30 year records than probably anybody in American major league sports. Maybe Wilt Chamberlain?

I was taking a defensive driving class during that game, only got see it live during breaks on the TV's at Sears. I did tape that game, one of the few Cowboy losses
I actually went back and watched it only b/c it was Eric Dickerson.

Just finished watching it.

I feel like taking back everything I've said lately about Dickerson...

Watching this excellent documentary, you are reminded how tragic this sports icon was as both
a collegiate and as a pro. He was the best at both levels and yet all most people remember him for was being a poster child for the collegiate corruption of what it was in the 80's and still is,
and the diva, Pi$t off about being severely underpaid(which he was) after his first 3 seasons of averaging almost 2,0000 yards with the LA Rams.

He was one of the few in those days that had the guts to come out and complain about his pay and was vilified for it.

Really too bad that he was one of the only great players on any of his NFL teams.

I missed it but it is on again today @ noon. After watching SMU football come alive and having such fun watching the PonyExpress, it would be hard for me to dislike Eric Dickerson. He is/was a friend of JJ and helped get him here so, for all we know, maybe he was disappointed and frustrated that his friend left SMU in such a mess.

John Robinson NFL AM Interview about Dickerson - talks about trying to recruit him to USC.

Thinks that they would have contended for NFL title if he had not been traded to Colts.

Talks about DeMarco Murray and the rush record that ED holds.
