Was at the game. Fan support far exceeded Temple support, due primarily to Colten Habecker's family and friends from the Hill school.

Mustangs dominated for large stretches of the match, and should have had more goals. Had one goal called back at the start of the 2nd half that should have stood (keeper had 1 hand touching a loose ball that was fired home, but the ref called it back...bad call). Once that happened, Temple picked up the pace (they were never the more talented squad, but their effort increased) and got the reward with a poorly marked pass back from the endline into the box that was fired home from close range.

For the next 20 minutes, possession was dominated by the Mustangs but often resulted in quick shots outside of the box. The game settled down as SMU reassumed a dominant position and began to emphasize their flank play, utilizing both right and left sides to draw the Temple defense out and open up play.

Overtime was dominated by SMU and the game winner was well deserved.
