Great shot. Love that building. Amazing that there were no trees.

Would be interesting if someone took a picture from the same angle today for comparison

That was really cool. Old photos of the university always make you realize how far we come. One of the reasons I love Goff's

My great grandfather took that photo (I have a film positive) and many others. He photo-documented the construction of HP Methodist Church, too - those photos are in the Bridwell Library. He was a professor of theology and took many photos that appear in the Rotundas during that period. I've got some terrific shots of Dallas Hall - everything I've got is a film positive. Don't see those anymore. He also took the first "official" photo of Peruna I.

Did not know that. Did not know that. Wow. Isle of the Dead, best piece of the 20th century. Wonder if it was performed.

Seriously - a fantastic building. Glad it wasn't diminished any in the renovation (from what I understand).

Thanks for sharing your story, Bergermeister!

Very cool. Maybe Bridwell could do an exhibit someday.

I guess Laughead would have been too young to take that shot.
