Bartel

Anyone know Bartel's status? It is a different team when he is not in the game. The guy can flat out play. With Comet, JC transfer(?), Francis a year older and some others stepping up, including incoming freshmen this O could be something.

The early report was a "shoulder bruise," but when he came off the field, he was hanging that arm like he'd gotten it ripped halfway off. Looked more serious than a bruise.

Bartel has a 2nd degree sprain to his right shoulder. xrays confirmed no broken bones or separation so that's good. Dr's said no surgery required or rotation problems and he will be good as new in 4-6 weeks after rehab. His right thumb also had a ligament strain which is much better but will see a hand specialist just to make sure. Thanks for the compliment about Richard, Nacho. I too, think he's done a great job. It's only gonna get better. You'll see. Keep the faith. Next year will be AWESOME!

Doesn't Bartel have some kind of baseball contract? With Cincinnati, I think. I wonder what they think about him hurting his pitching arm.

I hear he might be put on scholarship to "encourage" him to give up baseball.

I thought one of the reasons Bartel was at SMU was expressly because we don't have a baseball program?
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
