We have the worst offense in college football. Ranked dead last in the FBS. http://stats.ncaa.org/rankings?sport_co ... ivision=11

Offense got its first first down in the middle of the fourth quarter. No defense can withstand that type of pressure for a whole game. 5 star prospects at every position on defense couldn't withstand that type of pressuer.

That is not true. We had a 30 yard pass early so there was a first down there. But the gist of your statement is correct. Defense needs some long drive rest throughout the game.

Personally I would like to turn the program over to Phillips for the rest of the season.

The defense is OK. Not the best we've had, not the worst. If our offense was good, the defense would be adequate. This is not a defense that can carry a team.

I believe you mean 3rd down conversion.
But yes, our D was put in bad situations. Lots of short fields to defend and not a lot of rest between possessions. If we had an offense that could score points off of long possessions and not turnover the ball, I think we win that game

If our administration steps up and gets rid of JJ, for continuity sake you have to finish the season with someone from the existing staff. Mason is the only guy close to being able to take over as HC and will have some very difficult decisions to make right away (in terms of who else to get rid of and what the backup plan would be). You have to consider the players here

nothing special about this D, but any D would struggle with the short field they had to play on Saturday and with a 13 minute time of possession disadvantage

Jones had a chance against unt but the reality is their coach cares more. The game against the aggies will solidity our position as the worst offensive team In all d1 football. I think we might me ok if we were at the d2 level. And all this for the price of one HC of $2mm per year.

CoC pays JJ's salary not the school. If they are okay with it he will not have to worry about how to pay for it.

big if. you need all ten to keep going - which was not the original request. That request was - hey - pitch in for this salary and within 5 years we are in a real conference. Different then - hey - pitch in for 7 years and you will have the chance to pitch in for the next ten with a very diminished chance of a real conference.

Again, I am sure they were aware this could happen after last year and the contract extension that lowered the buyout. So it seems they were prepared for this type of situation.

It's better to point to the ineptness happening on the field and show clearly how it's June's lack of effort that's the cause of this than to battle the SMU-smear campaign that Leigh and June are going to inevitably launch during our coaching search. And yes, the search should have already begun the minute that out-clause extension was inked.
You were spot on regarding the smear campaign.
