Larry Brown/76ers Spat

Postby OhioBrownFan » Fri Oct 31, 2014 4:16 pm

I do not like this one bit. Both sides need to man up and let it go. It's long done and only ruining reputations with pointless words. Both sides are doing well imo, 76ers are rebuilding the only way possible in today's NBA and Larry Brown is building a basketball force at SMU. They should both be past this.

I'm not sure what the context was for all of his comments about the Sixers, but if their best retort was how good it was to watch SMU in the Final Four last year then it shows how under the gun they are in the front office. Phila sports fans are generally well informed and opinionated, even if some like to throw ice snowballs and pork chop bones, and the comments that I read were supportive of LB.

Most uninformed hoops writer ever, or simply the most biased?

Sounds to me like a backdoor job interview by Brown.

They look bad on both. I'm a Brown fan obviously, I have no idea why Larry felt the need to throw the 76ers under the bus. He took a Sparky Anderson approach and set that team back. That said, I also don't know why the 76ers org is throwing LB under the bus. They had a very good relationship and both sides are being immature. Just my opinion. Pisses me off.

Nice of the Sixers to support our program and wish us luck with the full page insert in the player program.
