Rest of the season maybe but I doubt he'll beat out any of the QBs the new coach brings in. The new coach might not even want him to play QB in which case I expect Davis to transfer.

safe to say he should finish this season as our QB but hopefully the next coach will bring in a real QB but also run a creative offense that can utilize Davis' skills

if SMU had a real QB I'd move him to Receiver because that's the easiest transition. But he really might be an outstanding RB too if you had time to develop him. Size, strength and speed probably best models Strong Safety
