You are bringing up stats, but they are kind of hollow when you are defending against these horrible AAC offenses. Who are the good AAC defensive teams? The UCF team that gave up 39 to uconn last week?

So both the defenses and the offenses in the AAC are horrible?

Ummmm.. they ain't good!

21-32 today-which is 66%-better rethink what you said

I have seen him personally in practices and in two games. I stand by what I wrote.

Pretty sure we'll see an improved passer with starter reps and confidence, in an offense tailored to his strengths.

After brain mapping, Cassel & Burcham were 'practice' All-Americans firing 3 yard outs on a rope! Put a little pressure on in a real game and you get 3 yard out, sack, incomplete, punt. Incomplete, 3 yard curl, sack, punt. You get the idea.

HE HAS 4 RECEIVERS in this offense. Tulsa was 1-7 No. 109 in Pass Defense. No. 106 is Sacks. The reason you guys think the offensive line was so bad is because he didn't get rid of the ball on time.

Who cares. We are the worst team in D1. The whole thing is a disaster. He put us in a position to win. Dumb INT - yes.

His int was bad but it also could have been a poor route run by Thompson

Someone who didn't change his opinion on June until the UNT game should not be casting this stone.

Stallion is being too harsh on Davis though

You guys remember that Davis didn't even start on his crappy JUCO team right?

There were reasons why he didn't play much-I believe one reason was he enrolled late in the semester or something like that.

Actually if I recall correctly, he started for like 4 games, sucked, and was benched.

Blackoutpony joins Stallion to hurl constant criticism at arguably our single best individual performance of the year, and quite possibly our best sliver of hope for the future.

I think I've heard it here before. SMU loves to eat their own.

What's your definition of "good"?

If Matt Davis is "our best sliver of hope for the future" then we're in worse shape than I thought.

Pointing out facts means I eat my own? Please show me here where I said he can't play?

You are so clueless. In only 1 complete game, he showed us more than Krstich, Cassel & Burcham combined. While running an antiquated offense that doesn't even fit his skill set. Please dispute this?

Hopefully Herman or Morris gets the chance to work with him since their schemes seem to fit his skill set pretty well. What we see of his passing and pocket presence in June's crap scheme is almost irrelevant to his future potential. Let's get some real coaches in here with a real scheme and I think the kid can be successful.

Word in the locker room is that he is a leader and has stayed positive throughout this whole ordeal. Another good sign as I'm sure this season and his role have unfolded 10x worse than he or his parents could have ever imagined when he chose SMU.
