GB Connection
On one of the Aggie sites the big rumor is that Mike Sherman, head coach of the GB Packers is interested. They comment how exciting and innovative their offense is and how much fun it is to watch. Funny that Rossley is their offensive coordinator. I don't think the Ags know that. Rossley did have a great offensive football mind. Mike Sherman is not the offensive genius in GB--it is Rossley. Having Brent Favre doesn't hurt.

Is that a real rumor? Can you imagine being Sherman and leaving Green Bay -- a.k.a. "Title Town -- to live in College Station?
Maybe that little face-off with Warren Sapp rattled Sherman more than we realized.

Fellas, think about what you're saying. Sherman's Packers are in first place, and already have clinched the NFC Norris, or whatever their division is called nowadays. They can spend the remainder of the regular season getting their main guys healthy while trying to win enough games to lock up home field advantage up there in the arctic circle, and potentially make a deep run into the playoffs. And you're suggesting that the head coach is going to jump ship to go get in the living rooms of a bunch of high school guys and recruit? To tell Bubba's momma she makes great cornbread and "golly we'd love to have your boy at A&M"?
Sherman is going nowhere. Bet the rent on it.

Personally I think it will be Fran. I was just stating what is all over the Aggie websites.
BTW I was kind of sorry to see Burns go at Tulsa. I was sitting right behind their bench when SMU had the big lead early in the 4th quarter. He was very calm and collected. I gained a lot of respect for him during that game. Good luck to him. As the former D coordinator at Arkansas he shouldn't have too much trouble getting a pretty good job.

it's not going to be fran. he has gotten pissed about these rumors...hopefully he just signs the damn contract with bama already.
Re: GB Connection
That would be hysterical, watching all the Aggie higher-ups standing there holding a bag of money and nobody to accept it.
I still think Frannie (little froggies can only be led by someone named Frannie) will end up in Aggietown, but how funny would it be if he left them hanging - and they had to explain to their top-shelf recruits that they're still trying to find a coach. If that happens, look for a mass exodus of recruits from Camp Aggie.

"What kind of weirdo school are they running over there in Fort Worth?"
