It was good. It can't be a Louisville atmosphere every game so I wasn't expecting that going in. Took a friend who hadn't been to a game in a few years and he was impressed.

ATTENTION SMU: Major beer expansion,

Agreed and agreed. Amazing how many half-wits stand right in the middle of a crowded concourse and try to have the "Oh man long time no see...how ya been?...lil Johnny is at Harvard, and Kaitlen is at Stanford and we're spending Christmas in Jackson Hole" conversations. These a-holes don't care how many folks they inconvenience.

And yes many more places to buy beer! Shock Top tasted nice and cold.

ps: Ben Moore is a beast....Keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeth not so much.

I don't recall the band playing Beans, either.

Band seemed really small as well. Wasn't Pigskin going on as well?

I assume they moved the beer to the middle of the concourse so the bathrooms are not blocked, but the beer lines in the middle of the concourse were kind of a disaster, no?

More beer stands = shorter lines = better no matter where they put them.

I was not impressed by all of the empty seats. The atmosphere wasn't quite where I was hoping it would be for the first game. Students were great though. I was not as happy with the intros. Maybe my expectations are always too high.

I thought they should have kept the basic intro format from last year,
but I guess they want to keep it fresh. It was ok becuase it was new,
but nothing memorable like last year's. Of course last year's was pretty
special because it was the year we came crashing back upon the scene.

ya mean towards the end of the game?
i didnt see many empty seats during most of the game

i think such a late start time, being up by 40,
and homecoming tomorrow contributed to some early departures

I was sitting higher and I would place the attendance up there around 60 to 70%. One row had 10 straight empty seats

Exactly. When is the last time a BBall game in the fall at moody against a no-name drew anything close to this?

There were fewer empty seats last night than there were occupied seats for many non conference games 3+ years ago.

Come on. Is this your first year of going to SMU games? Given the circumstances - Lamar, a very cold night and other football/homecoming events going on - the crowd was outstanding. From my seat I didn't notice any empty areas. I was surprised that people stuck around for as long as they did, especially the students.
