More than half of Clemson fans I have asked on message boards pretty much said "you can have him". I would rather get a coach that the fanbase will actually be bummed to lose him.
You do realize we are the worst team in D1 football. Saban is a tough sell, and even some of the Alabama fans want him gone.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand

Honestly we don't even have one QB that can run his offense. He's going to have to bring in a few legit starting options (JUCO/graduate transfer) right away or our offense will be a dumpster fire again in 2015.
Doesn't he like dual threat QB's like Tahj Boyd? Wouldn't Davis be a good fit?

We're not getting a Gary Patterson, the odds of hiring a coach and having him stay 14+ seasons are astronomical. As for the Clemson fanbase, just last year they were scared to death of losing him, many still are.
They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

I wouldn't call Davis a good fit because he's too raw when it comes to QB fundamentals. Morris won't be able to run his full offense with Davis which is why it's paramount that he brings in multiple options to compete for the job.

Those are all interesting concerns but you could make similar claims about other candidates on the list. Any guy we hire is going to have a lot of warts.

Thank you for your negative and always stupid posts, sbsmith.

I'm meeting this week with the attorney that told me this originally - may have to ask if he is aware of timing and such, but I doubt it. This was a more of a general statement from him.
But if the deal has already been reached in principal, and with Clemson's loss on Saturday, I'd have to think we are looking at the earliest date being Sunday, Nov 30th - the day after Clemson plays in-state rival USC.
