I've maintained that since the PSU ruling that SMU should have immediately started paying players again. Seriously. What's the worst that they could do to us? If covering up child rape doesn't get you the death penalty then nothing will.

The ncaa doesn't have as much power as most people think unless you invite them to punish you. Especially true nowadays.

I would have DP'ed them 1 year for every child abused, and that's getting off lightly.

No team will ever get the DP again after what it did to SMU. So they may as well take it off the books.
