Jerseys

Postby Oliver » Sun Nov 16, 2014 3:40 am

Did SMU literally take 2012's jerseys and stick some Nike stitching, an AAC patch, and names on the back? I know some don't care, but I'm becoming less and less a fan of these jerseys the more a I look at them

No. It's our arched logo and has no blue stripes.

Not the same, they look nice and you can get a real replica at the bookstore. Stop complaining.

I'm with you - they look like a cheap kids replica jersey. Very underwhelmed

I think the jerseys look great! The shorts are nice as well. They are completely different than the 2012 uniforms. I also love that we have Nike replica jerseys in the bookstore. I don't understand how anyone could have a problem with these uniforms.

From way up in 207, I made a comment when the guys stepped on the court on Friday that I didn't much care for the uniforms. Stripes seemed too thin. But I quickly forgot all about my concerns once the game actually started.

at least our kids names were individually stitched on the jerseys versus Lamar's name "Patch" so that someone else could use the jersey next year.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

The names on the back is obviously a nice touch this year. I just dislike the blue collar strap, and the front letters are actually too big, I liked last years style better, and going back and rehashing the old style from 2012 just seems lazy. We need a fresh clean redesign next year.

I always find it amusing that some of you think we're just looking for something to complain about. If you think the jersey design has detracted from our rabid excitement about our play, our preseason expectations, our schedule, our kids and the upward trending direction of our program, you're dead wrong. Frankly, I'm just happy you people aren't running the program..attention to detail matters, I want perfection and excellence in everything we do.

I want to look good, play well, sound good on the jumbotron, have the best fan experience, build top notch facilities and hire the best coaches. It all matters, details matter, take pride in your brand, people notice these things.

Depends what you're into, I'm loud, but have a tendency to lose my voice really quickly hah so then it just becomes aggressive clapping..

The nitpicking comes after the fact, I'm just always thinking about improvements, been the same way since I was a student working in the department, I want our students, alums, recruits and casual fans to walk into Moody and be absolutely floored but what they've seen every time, and to have had a 1st class experience all the way through.

I'm on cloud 9 right now considering the dumpster fire this program was before LB arrived, but am I satisfied, hell no, and I wont be until we raise a national championship banner in Moody...
