I lived in Ithaca one winter. That year Galveston Tx had more snow than we did. Galveston had 2, 3 inch snows and we had one 5". Of course ours stayed all winter.

And Syracuse had a bunch that year.

And then there's evidence of a hotter sun according to some scientists. When I was growing up scientists were predicting that the hole in the ozone layer was going to cause all the oxygen to leak out into space. They were predicting that the Polar Ice caps were so thick that they might change the axis of the earth. So drive your Prius, loud and proud.

1) Re: Sun is hotter http://skepticalscience.com/solar-activ ... arming.htm
tl;dr "Over the last 35 years the sun has shown a slight cooling trend. However global temperatures have been increasing. Since the sun and climate are going in opposite directions scientists conclude the sun cannot be the cause of recent global warming."

2) Re: A/C compressors:
You could merely use ocean water temperature as evidence of global warming. The air only gets a small part of the warming anyway.

3) Re: Incorrect hypotheses:
"Science" means that the incorrect ways of thought get removed when proven wrong. Almost every hypothesis ever has been proven wrong. More data = changing views most of the time. The data on the environment getting warmer continues to back the hypotheses up.

"People were wrong before therefore can never be right again" is a ridiculous premise on its own.
