QB Chason Virgil

Postby mrydel » Fri Nov 21, 2014 4:12 pm

Just dropped his commitment from Miss St. He is graduating next month and was going to enroll early and now they have said they want him to grey shirt.

He is from Mesquite and needs a school, but I imagine most are full. We need a coach. Offers from Texas, Auburn, Missouri, Arizona St.

Doubt we would have a chance unless the others are full at least with their QB quota.

SMU and a bunch of others did offer

For what it's worth, he took two unofficial s to Clemson and it looks like they were one of the first, if not the first, to offer him.

I have to imagine that Morris is his recruiter. If we can get Chad, maybe he can pull him to SMU as his first flagship recruit? One can dream....

and if we get Herman maybe we can pull Braxton Miller here. Gosh, BOP guess we can dream- can't we?

Actually, I'm more concerned about getting Morris or Herman than players at this point.

I did not know about the Clemson connection. I wonder if old friend Chad might have called him just to catch up on old times?

Virgil just tore his ACL and Mississippi State pulled a scholarship. Can understand why Hines would want to re-open recruitment

10 days ago I read this and thought we didn't have a snowball's chance in hell. Unreal how quickly things can turn around

I don't think it matters anymore. If you have surgery, it was my understanding that they don't really "repair" it. When I was going to have mine done, I was given the option of "graft" or "donor." The recovery was the same for both.

I don't understand why MSU pulled the offer. In today's world, ACL surgeries are very common and some guys end up with stronger knees.

It was my understanding that they wanted him to gray shirt, and he wanted to enroll early. He would not agree to gray shirt and they pulled the offer.

They probably got somebody else that they thought was better and used his knee as a "reason".
