This is what I think we need to do

(don't tell anybody-just our secret on the board-but with all the money we spend for 10,000 fans why don't we just post an advertisement in the paper for part time employment-tell them their job is to fill seats on 6 Saturdays every year for minimum wage). We could each sponsor an employee for working class people who need a job-we become the Blue Collar favorite-

Stallion maybe the reason we have "10,000" fans is because we have sucked terribly since 1989 with some flash of potential from 2009-2012. In said period, we did have attendance go up significantly, probably close to 19-22k fans per game. Which is good.

Why don't they have a drawing at the end of the 3rd Qtr of each game.

Winner has 5 minutes to make it to the Mustang on the 50 yard line or another person is selected. Kinda adds to the excitement.

At the end of the season, you roll out 6 Ford Mustangs for the 6 winners during the season.

1 Grand Prize winner drives off with a new car.

Looking at the Rice-UTEP game right now. Rice won 10 games last season, and is already bowl eligible this season, yet the stands are virtually empty. It just makes me wonder how much winning would actually help SMU attendance. Or are we still that much different from Rice nowadays?

Congratulations

You have reached the next level of enlightenment. Although its a good conference for SMU competitively, the AAC will never achieve general acceptance among SMU fans. We've averaged about 12,000 paid fans in the stands in the AAC during last 2 years-forget about the ridiculous tickets distributed number listed in the box score

5-7 last year with beatdowns from all former SWC opponents.

0-9 this year.

Be lucky we have 12,000 fans showing to AAC games. We can average 22-25k with an exciting program that wins, and embraces the community

Young alumni graduate and forget about SMU. Exciting Basketball is starting to get a lot of them to keep coming back to campus to catch a game. Football can have that appeal. The new era is near.

This is just stupid :!:

This year we had 30000 butts in seats average for just A&M and TCU this
year :!:

It's not because SMU fans will never accept AAC, it's because there are just not that many
graduates of SMU. We need a relatively local conference like the big 12 to put 30000+ rent a
fans to see the old time SWC rivalries, etc.

It doesn't matter if we are undefeated every year if we continue to play this AAC schedule that no one cares about. Who's the best FCS team this year? You probably have no idea, because no one cares who is the best In a lower tier. Our only chance is to join the big 12 and that ain't happening anytime soon.

Weâ€™ll since an invite to the Big 12 is not in the works any time soon, perhaps we should leave the AAC and form a conference like this:
