Signs of massive change

Postby gostangs » Sun Nov 23, 2014 12:01 am

Just for context, thought it would be interesting to note the following:

Last year, we were watching Larry in front of 600 in garland this exact same time of year. Now we are 500 seats off a sell out crowd and people are hacked off

Markus didn't start last year until yanick got hurt. Now we are doomed if he can't play.

We never look out of control of the game against a pretty solid EWS team, and gloom is everywhere.

Our student section is totally packed during thanksgiving week, but we don't have the insane energy of a rival game against a no name team and people wonder what's wrong.

Amazing where this program and fan base has come in 12 months

By the looks of it, I believe 2 or 3 of us thought
SMU played well last night.

The game was never in doubt, only 10 turnovers, we shot well.
Yet the sky is falling. Crazy.

I feel that we played well. Cut down on the turnovers etc. However, I think some expected more improvement than we saw. The Ark and Mich games will give us an idea as to how well we are going to play.

Ben E and Keith looked good last night. Those were two "must's" IMO.

I think most would agree that we are better with MK especially against teams with tough interior players. I don't see a bunch of posts that were gloomy over the EWU win.

I think most were disappointed because they were thinking EWU was a poor team and we
should beat them by 40 points; however, they are a good team with a solid offense. They
played hard. We will get a better clue about them after they play Indiana this week.

Ben E Keith is a big sponsor. They should capitalize on this.
