I don't have the exact quote in front of me but Bennett made mention in the DMN about how much he is impressed by Willis. I got the definite impression that Willis is pulling ahead of Phillips, not that it surprised me but it does disappoint me. My prediction: Willis will play against ECU at some point in the game. There goes the 5th year senior.

I hope that when PB talked about Willis, it was coach speak. To lose a year for Willis now - Please NO.

Secondly, Go watch the team practice, Willis is not getting many snaps.

Sorry BUS but my SMU pain-o-meter only allows me to go on Saturdays. Glad to hear we are going to play a QB who isn't getting many reps.

I can't think of a logical reason. I would play any QB on the team to save his red-shirt.

If Romo gets hurt in the middle of a game or has to miss a series or two for some reason, Phillips goes in. If Romo is out for a full game, you probably will see Willis at some point. That applies for the next three weeks. If SMU gets past Rice without Willis playing, Bennett won't play him at all unless there is a gun to his head.

I just can't see Romo coming over to the sideline at second down and five during the UTEP game saying, "Coach, my chinstrap broke!" and Bennett responding, "Willis, get in there and hand off to Dorsey!"
