I'm just irritated at the loss tonight. I was there and it hurt.

If it makes anyone feel better-and it won't and shouldn't-we used to have to put up with 6,000 Porkers when Moody held 10,007. Razorback fans weren't near as obnoxious as when Moody was Barnhill South. They didn't even have a decent Hog Call until the 2nd half

pony kris - and any others that sell their seats to opposing fans - you are a bad fan, and really should just pass on buying season tickets in general. No SMU fans want them? Fine - eat them. Don't screw up the home court for your team and your fellow fans.

The intro needs help. It is too timid. Trying to be a bit too cool instead of energy creating.

Love our band - but the show tune at the end of the second half when we had some mo was a total buzz kill. You need to be able to call an audible. Go to Puruna - the fast version - if you have to. Also - i don't care if we are suppose to wait for the friggin commercial to end - if the other team has a hog call going you break in and crush it with Peruna - they can play the commercial later.

The whataburger lay up deal was lame and embarrassing .

Crowd was dang loud in the second half when we we cut 19 points to 7. It died down when the team didn't get it closer. the issue tonight was not the crowd - it was poised and ready to go and didn't get anything to get after.

Keith and Nic were the only ones that came to play tonight. Cannen and ben M were sleep walking don't know what that was about. We were outmanned with better athletes at every position.

Is Larry ever going to call a first half time out when we get s slow start? He just won't do it. It is aggravating.

Sorry Gostangs, but I have been doing this for years, and I will
not stop because some of you want to guilt people who do it. That's just plain stupid.

I am a huge sports fan, and I have been wasting my $$ for almost 20 years of the Mavs 34 year history on portions of season tickets and now recently buy season tickets with SMU. I quit Mavs season tickets a few years back, just couldn't afford it any longer.

Once Stubhub came in, it was a like a GodSend for sports lovers. And the teams and schools love it too, because it lets people make a commitment to season tickets with less downside risk, and THAT means more season tickets sold.

.. Some of us less endowed in the wallet
can now afford to buy season tickets and judiciously go to games of their choosing.
I call people, PM and email, post, and stub hub, but always offer to SMU first. I have turned down many PM's for tickets because I know the new posters are not Ponies.

but, My wallet ain't gonna take a beating cuz people are getting butt hurt over it...
and SMU plays like they are supposed to play at home, and there will not be the whining over this.
and nobody knows whether my StubHubbed seats were sold to visitors either.

And cmon you guys, look at JerryWorld if you want to really see a stadium taken over by the visitors. And the
Cowboys are supposedly the most popular team in America. It just isn't a big deal anymore.
IT IS WHAT IT IS.
Beat the hell out of anybody!

This really is an interesting debate. The platforms are in place to facilitate a "market" for these tickets. The problem with PonyKris' argument is that most don't consider SMU just another entertainment option. The support of your school has a special meaning for most. That's why it's extra aggravating when there's some opposing fan sitting next to you -- oinking the whole game. I do agree with Ponyk about winning. It's soooo wonderful to watch opposing fans scurry out of the building after you've beat them. Win, and this is less of an issue.

Hopefully SMU takes preventative steps to limit Moody from becoming Jerry World.

16 turnovers in the first half by the home team tends to quiet home crowds.

Agree. The MOB didn't know any better, but at the first sign of any calling of the Hogs, that is when the MOB needs to start a SMU, SMU, SMU chant or something. The HOG calls last night were tame compared to years past and could have easily been thwarted by the MOB. Instead, the MOB just stood there and took it. Maybe next time they will know better.

At one point we were 1/9 from the floor and missing our 4th or 5th lay-up in a row...the fans can't do it all. Oh, let me add we were <40% from the free-throw line where we had scored a majority of our meager points and air-balling long jumpers. The basketball was crap in the 1st half; cut us some slack.

They had a very meager one at the very end. Small pigfarm behind their bench up top.

Yes, exactly. It drove me nuts. SMU and many other schools are killing the atmosphere, with commercials, T.O. gimmicks, that makes college games fun.

Welcome to big time, commercialized, college athletics at their finest. Those my friend, are what we like to call TV/media time outs. 16 minutes, 12 mins, 8 mins, 4 mins, snooze...

I'll bite. I have no idea who bought my tickets for the game, could have been an SMU fan, might have been a Hog, but any SMU "fan" who wants to decry me for not helping to ensure that SMU have the best homecourt advantage possible can seriously kiss my littlywhite Irish posterior. Where the [I'll just delete this myself] were you 5 years ago when there were 6-700 fans in the stands? Protecting the home court advantage were you. Sanctimonious little bollocks'.

My seats are 5 times the cost they were when Matt Doherty was calling the shots and I have to do what ever I can to recoup the costs of this season. I'll make no apology for it. Some have the luxury to be able to eat tickets to these games, but I sure can't. And if you feel that strongly about it why don't you get on Stubhub and buy up the tickets yourself?

Our fans are the worst.

It seems that one should offer up tix here on PF first then go make money on stubhub. If you have some time, give it 24 hours on PF first.

I agree that they should go to Ponyfans, but I'll never argue against anyone trying to make an honest buck.
