This makes a lot of sense. There seems to be no coordination among the groups. Band seems like they play whenever they feel like it. Marketing is trying to get in the sponsored games they sold even at the expense of momentum. There is very little music, lighting and graphics to get the fans on their feet at the right time. It seems extremely unorganized compared to last season. Typical of SMU to mess with something that wasn't broken. Also, turn up the volume on the music.

Solution: Do what you did last year, end of discussion.

^^Yes

I really hope someone is listening to this. Your loyal fans who are paying more than last year for a game experience that is from the Doh days. Unacceptable. Stop worrying about damn ad revenue and give this team an atmosphere. Ads should be played before the game and halftime if at all. Once again - take a look at the Mavs for help.

It's actually quite the opposite. Band plays only when told to play. That is actually part of the problem. They have to wait for the go ahead through the headphones instead of being able to react. The band wasn't the problem last night. (And there wasn't a single show tune they played, BTW, the music selection was actually very good and people -- students included, seemed to be up and dancing to most of the stuff they played). The problem is with reading 1 minute ads BEFORE music of ANY KIND is played, plus stupid endless promotions during timeouts. Save those for halftime and make them 1) straightforward -- no ridiculously convoluted rules, 2) winnable on occasion, and 3) make the prize something that is meaningful. (Free tacos is not).

I was in 209 and got "Free Whataburger." It was a coupon to get a free burger with purchase of fries and a drink. That is not "Free Whataburger."

I have no problem with the band - but I'm sorry it doesn't get the crowd pumping. When the other team calls a timeout after SMU has been doing damage - it needs to stay loud with uptempo music from the new sound system not the tiny band.

Same crew as last season.

Yet when we play more DJ, we hear that we don't have enough band.

Guys - We want to be responsive to fan requests, but we need a consistant message.

Everyone on here needs to send an email this address. And have your friends send emails. And put it on facebook for people to send emails. And use multiple email addresses.

Keep it simple and consistent. Last year was awesome. This year isn't as good. Go back to last year's production. Everyone in the state of Texas said it was awesome. there is absolutely NO REASON AT ALL to change it just because some idiot suggested something else.

Only SMU could take the best college basketball atmosphere and F*CK it up.

The inept mismanagement of our athletic department has made us look like the Clippers of college sports. Look in the mirror and fix it. Period.

Like Jason says, keep it simple. Just say to go back to how it was last year, period.

I think they changed the lighting in the upper section. It seems less like a snake pit.

Also seems to be less lighting graphics on the floor.
