Selfishly I really hate this for me. I have held season tickets the last couple of years so I would have them if and when I moved back to the area. But if they are too high I will not be able to justify the expense. Again, this is strictly a selfish thought.

Of course then I can mooch off of someone when I need to go to a game. Surely I get karma points for giving mine away each game.

Looks like the MC will be funded even earlier this year since all donations have to be paid by March 31.

Gonna stick it to us. Better hope this thing doesn't go south or you are going to have some p.o'd people. 2-3 years ago - 1000 people at games. Maybe make the tourney first and make some runs..haven't done anything yet.

Seating for 2015-16

Postby PonySnob » Wed Nov 26, 2014 7:15 pm

Any idea as to how many seats are available for faculty? Do they pay for tickets?

I know of at least one AAC school that makes them donate to the athletic department if they want to football/basketball tickets.

I suspect that at SMU that would only alienate more profs against the athletes.

Not for the big games which is why you buy the tickets.

I read it as if you have season tix now you will be able to renew. You just may not get the same seats. Is this right? I'm in the $180 seats anyways so they really can only move me a row up.

You will have the option to renew - which I take to mean you can pay the new price/donation for your seats if you want. Otherwise, you get back in line.

They have to start playing better for their plan to be executed.

'Long term' = four years = about 200 season ticket holders

Loge will go from 5k donation plus seats (1k each) to 5k donation per seat plus seat. So for a 4 seat loge from 9k to 24k.

There's certainly a near price where I'm out as a season ticket holder. Will remain a fan, but I can see it quickly getting too expensive for 18 games. The way I look at it is I hope I get priced out AND they sell out the place. It likely means they're doing well and receiving as much revenue as possible. I have no problem watching games from home if that's the case.
